We invite you to two wonderful evening activities organized by the ECR student board, a Carbonara night on Monday (21st Oct 2024) in the city centre of Rome

and an Aperol night on Wednesday (23rd Oct 2024) closer to the congress venue. These events aim to facilitate networking in an informal space, particularly for young congress participants. In case you are joining the meeting alone, we strongly recommend you participate! Participation is free of charge.  First come, first served principle, so make sure you sign up quickly! All the details about the time and place will be communicated to you after the registration.

Meet the experts

Coffee breaks and lunch are the perfect moment to expand your network! We have organized a unique "Meet the Expert", to facilitate interaction and connection among young scientists and experienced PIs. Do not miss this chance to reserve your 15-minute slot with one of our experts to discuss your projects, future expectations, scientific tips, and career aspirations. It is your opportunity to ask all those burning questions you have been holding back during conference sessions. Remember, early reservations secure your slot, so act quickly! We will get back to you soon

Workshops

How to get published? Thomas Gallagher (Managing Editor of Human Gene Therapy) and Kevin Davies (Executive Editor at Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.) will moderate an exciting workshop on Wednesday lunchtime. They will discuss the publishing process to provide insights from the perspective of a journal and publishing company to help scientists navigate the manuscript submission, peer review, and publication process. Read more details about this workshop here

Am I an effective scientific communicator? EuroGCT and your ECRs Board Members will facilitate an interesting workshop on effective communication, highlighting the strongest elements and offering tips for delivering impactful speeches.
