Anna Kajaste-Rudnitski (AKR) is Full Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Pavia, Italy, since October 2023 after 11 years as Group Leader the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget) in Milan. The AKR Lab studies molecular mechanisms of host-virus interplay and nucleic acid immunity in the context of gene therapies and autoinflammatory diseases. Overall, her studies inform the development of innovative therapies to fight genetic, infectious, and autoimmune diseases.
